Nice place but not sure if I'd stay there again

Liked:my 2nd stay there was a lot better than the horrible 1st one when I was shouted at by the owner nice swimming pool it was a bit more quiet there, less construction noise clean room my later check out was approved nice to watch sunset from

Disliked:I had a different room than before but the bathroom there would also get flooded after taking a shower. I requested a quiet room, and even talked to the hotel employees about it as I really needed to relax while there. I'd always leave for a few hours each day during my stay, but when at the hotel, I really needed quiet as I was not feeling ok. However, one of the mornings when I was sunbathing by the swimming pool with my eyes closed, and I was the only hotel guest there during my entire stay, 2 male hotel employees came and started doing noisy things by the pool. They noticed they woke me up but kept making noise there and even talking loud just a few meters from me. Only once they finished over 30 min later, they said sorry. But it felt weird and unprofessional to me. They knew very well that the only thing I asked for was peace and quiet, and they didn't have to do that thing at that time when I was there taking a nap and in bikini only. They could do it a few hours later once I was gone to the beach instead. Details like this matter to me because disturbing the paying client with something completely unnecessary is not ok.

Rude owner shouting at me, loud construction noise around

Liked:looks nice, safe with cameras and gate, good swimming pool

Disliked:I was treated badly and shouted at by the female owner at check in, she even used the “f*ck” word into my face when talking to me. She didn’t want to charge my card at first at all until I showed her my card photo. But showing her my card in the bank app which I use to pay contactless with my phone via Apple Pay was not enough for her. But that’s not right to ask for all those card details. She was pretty much saying that I could use a card from anyone in the world and try to steal from her (just because once in the past someone did at her accommodation so now she’s treating all the guests as robbers). Only after I told her that if I gave her the photo of my card with all the details, she could be the one stealing from me and using my card to pay anywhere, she changed and said she didn’t want to keep the photo, just see the card details. But I did show her at first and my name is on the card but it was still not enough for her to just see it. In the end I asked her to charge for my stay online via Booking where I had the same bank card as the one I showed her. After check in at the reception the owner came back to me and kept shouting at me in front of my room. I've never ever seen this behavior at any other accommodation at check in. Don’t think it’s ok to shout at paying guests, especially because I did nothing wrong and she shouted at me for several different things as soon as I arrived. She never apologized to me. At check in, I asked her about the check out time. She said I was the only guest at the hotel but I still had to check out at 10 am no matter what. Only then when I sent her a message via Booking asking about a later check out, she said ok. I asked for a quiet room but there was loads of construction noise all around the hotel at several places, and some dogs barking, too. Pretty noisy. The way I was treated destroyed my entire stay. Bathroom was flooded with water after every shower.

Liked:Amazing views! Pool was fantastic and property well maintained! Loved the spacious rooms and outdoor dining space! Staff was incredible and very flexible both when we arrived, during and as we were leaving!

We really enjoyed our Stay at this Lodge and felt very comfortable. Great Lodge, wish we had longer.

Liked:The Pool was great and open all night. The rooms were neat & spacious and bathrooms were clean, neat and included some toiletries. Kitchen well stocked with all essentials and more. Overall, very clean and tidy unit, and well serviced daily. Easy access in and out. Shops a stone throw away. Main beach just a few min drive away. Staff and hosts were friendly and accommodating and always available if needed. Stay was very pleasant, relaxing and comfortable. Our Flight was at 5am, hosts and staff insisted on seeing us out when we departed at 2:30am, which was really going the extra mile, even though they didn't really have to. Wish we had a few more days there. Thank you for a great stay.

Disliked:No Breakfast option. Lodge should look into a breakfast option for an even better experience. However, its relative to the price and we knew this before booking, So it's no big deal. Only petty issue encountered was payment method - I had obtained a Cash Mastercard from my bank and converted to Euro's specifically to pay for the accommodation, but because the card did not have my name printed on it, it was not accepted and I had to use my other Credit Card that had a name, but had to encounter additional bank charges for this, as well as charges paid to get the cash card but could not use it. I do understand the valid security concern to the Lodge though. Perhaps it should be communicated clearly to avoid this mishap in future, but it didn't take away from a Near Perfect stay. Very Happy
