Excellent stay, very relaxing, nice location.

Liked:Excellent location, lovely peaceful garden, and quirky but nice rooms. The location is is nice and relaxing. Once ytou enter the grounds and move up the long gravel driveway, you feel miles from anywhere, but you're not. We even saw a baby deer on the croquet lawn as we drove in!

Disliked:Service was excellent…when you could get it. It is diabolically slow. 30 minutes to order a cup of tea. Over one hour to get breakfast. Allow yourself plenty of time, and don’t go if you are at all impatient.

Comfortable, pleasant but I didn't think it was good value for money.

Liked:Staff were very friendly and accommodating, a credit to the hotel.

Disliked:It looked tired, our room was dusty and the carpet was loose in places. I didn't think it was worth the £176 bill, I regretted upgrading as it was definitely not good value for money. The bar menu was restricted and the main menu didn't have much choice and was expensive.
