Pleasantly surprised in Barcelona

Liked:The hotel was central and within walking distance to many of the sights and attractions we planned to visit. Staff were very friendly and accommodating in assisting us with transportation any time we needed it. The room was clean and fully supplied with what we needed to feel comfortable and at home.

Disliked:Prior to booking, I was not aware of the ongoing construction in front of the hotel which stretches for many blocks in both directions. While a minor inconvenience, I was pleasantly surprised that any noise from the street did not carry to our room.

Great place for a short break in Barcelona

Liked:Not my first time at Royal Ramblas Hotel, I stayed there before the renovation as well; now the rooms look more modern and up to date. The Hotel's Location is one of the best there is in Barcelona, Basically right in the center of Barcelona on the Ramblas, Close to 2 Metro station, One being the Catalunya station from which you can get to wherever you want, the rooms (inner once at least) are very quiet and comfortable. The Staff is super friendly and helpful, Checking In & Checking Out (even at odd hours) was a breeze. There are no keys to the rooms, but a touchpad with a passcode which is very convenient, nothing to forget or lose physically. Breakfast is Good and has enough variety of options to accommodate everyone, although you can not order anything (if you feel like eating a different kind of eggs, for example...). Guests of the hotel get a 10% discount at the Italian restaurant located next to the hotel, it is a nice place to grab a bite with decent prices. nothing fancy.

Disliked:The water pressure in the shower is Very Low, and the overhead shower head will be useless for anyone over 1.85m (6'1" foot), in addition, at times I wish the water was Hotter at the hottest settings..

Exceeded our expectations for sure.

Liked:Everything was exceptional. From the location who was literally in the middle of everything, to the cleanliness, how polite and friendly the staff was. Also to my surprise, despite the fact that La rambla was being under construction there was no noise at all, did not bothered us for a second. Also the price was more than decent, will be back for sure.
