Like curates egg, only good in partd

Liked:The reception staff were friendly and helpul. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was good. Nice touch of free water and free bottle of wine.

Disliked:Room was indifferent, plastic chair, six broken hangers, pointless bed settee which just took up room, not a single drawer. The bedside 'tables' were too small and landline should have been away from bedside. I complained at 4pm one day that room had not been cleaned and it took a second complaint at 4.30 for any member of cleaning staff to even enter room and finally got to clean room at gone 5pm. Too much bleach used to clean floors. Very unpleasant smell from bathroom drain whenever shower was used. Lifts were inadedequate for number of guests as each of 2 lifts only took 4 passengers. Downstairs bar didn't even stock coke zero or wine. Upstairs bar did not have crushed ice for cocktails and is very hot during day as high tables have no shade but seats under shade are extremely low. My fault for not checking but Rambla is undergoing complete renovation with whole areas like bomb sites and traffic only one way which means additional time and cost when taking cabs. Not something thst hotel can do anything about but through no fault of management is no longer in a prime position.

Liked:We had a wonderful stay at SERHS Rivoli Rambla. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Barcelona, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, shops, and public transportation. The area around the hotel is beautiful and perfect for walking, both during the day and in the evening. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. What made our stay even more special was the staff. Every single member of the team was friendly, welcoming, always smiling, and happy to help with any request. They made us feel at home throughout our stay.

Disliked:The only downside was that we had to book a triple room because we were traveling with our 8-year-old child, which made the stay more expensive. Also, it would have been nice to have complimentary coffee facilities in the room. Other than that, everything was excellent.
