Liked:The property is in a great location, I last visited 15 years ago. However it appears it’s no longer focussing on LGBTQ and more of an adults only hotel. The hotel has a charm and great design. Great multiple facilities.

Disliked:The spa use to be lovely and quiet and was part of the hotel. Now you get an hour free for your entire stay then it’s €20 an hour. What I found awkward as a gay man I didn’t feel comfortable in the spa. The first day I visited the changing rooms were mixed on the Sunday and no privacy. When I went out to the spa there was lots of making out of straight couples and didn’t feel comfortable in the spa, so I left. I wasn’t the only one that felt like this it’s my ‘homofriendly’ than ‘hetrofriendly’ now. The other niggle was when I arrived to check in and leave my bags the receptionist was overwhelmed with people. They need more staff on and not one desk. I queued for an hour to then be told to sit down by the receptionist along with others doing the same. Once he had self with check out guests he then had a backlog of disgruntled clients wanting to leave bags etc. peak times the hotel desperately needs two people on reception. When I asked about the loyalty scheme I was a member of, the receptionist didn’t know what it was. I will try an alternative hotel on my next visit. As to me Axel
