Wonderful stay

Liked:Really well located within Bar Harbor, very close to Acadia National Park. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, always asking about our days, and creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and well looked after. Great value for money.

Liked:Don’t let the unassuming name fool you — Little Fig Hotel is one of those places you stumble upon and immediately feel like you’ve discovered a secret. Tucked right in the middle of town, it somehow manages to feel like a cozy retreat despite being steps from everything Bar Harbor has to offer. The aesthetics are absolutely adorable — think thoughtful, curated decor with a warm, whimsical charm that makes you want to linger. Our two king bedrooms were spotless, the bedding was soft and luxurious, and every little detail in the room felt intentional. It’s the kind of place that actually looks better in person than in photos. What really sets Little Fig apart is the hospitality. Kina was an absolute gem — genuinely welcoming, on top of keeping everything immaculate and organized, and just one of those people who makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a booking. The lobby snacks available all day long were a lovely touch, but the homemade blondies and brownies? Those were legendary. We may have gone back for seconds… okay, thirds. Breakfast is continental, so if you’re expecting a hot spread, adjust your expectations — but honestly, with snacks that good available throughout the day, it was hard to complain. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect stay was the street noise — the sound of trucks and cars through the night was noticeable. That said, after long days hiking through Acadia, we were tired enough that it barely slowed us down. Would absolutely stay here again. If you’re heading to Bar Harbor and want somewhere charming, clean, and full of heart — book Little Fig before someone else snags it! 🌿
