Good if you need to stay close to the airport. Very standard.

Liked:If you're looking for a place to stay near the airport to adjust for travel logistics, this is a good option. Quite standard as you would expect from a Marriot. Staff was friendlier than average for this type of chain hotel.

Disliked:Like pretty much everything in Costa Rica, quite expensive. Value overall in Costa Rica is not the best. Everything is priced in dollars for the typical american tourist. Not a coincidence you only see americans around. We go to much more expensive destinations, but the sense of value you get is outrageous. We paid the same price for a superb meal in Paris for what you get in the super simple restaurant right across the street from the hotel. Almost laughable... a simple meal was about the same price as the stay in the hotel (which from this lens you could say that the value of Marriott is actually decent).

Clean and conveniently located by airport.

Liked:We needed an overnight stay near the airport with a shuttle. This facility met all those requirements, and being a flagged hotel, we knew what to expect. It was clean and convenient.

Disliked:We chose this hotel because they have a shuttle. Since SJO is renovating, many things, including hotel shuttle pickup, is relocated. We had to call three times to figure out where to be picked up. Once we found it, the shuttle driver left us twice, despite us attempting to flag him down. If the front desk would simply have said," Walk through the parking garage and wait on the road by the garage," we would have avoided paying to get to the hotel.
