Nightmare

Disliked:This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I've ever had. At around 11 p.m., people started shouting and fighting. Later, around 2 a.m., it turned into what sounded like heavy sexual activity and complete chaos. People were walking around the hotel trying door handles to see which rooms were unlocked. I could hear women crying. It was an absolute nightmare. We left the hotel in a hurry at around 3 a.m. because we no longer felt safe. My 14-year-old son was traumatised by what happened. I don't know if the owner is aware of what is going on in this hotel, but I was so concerned that I had to call the police because I genuinely believed I might have witnessed signs of sex trafficking

Liked:The hotel was very clean, modern, and in a great location. The check-in process was smooth, and it was a very comfortable stay for our large family group.

Disliked:There were a couple of issues we faced. First, fans were not provided in every room, which made it a bit warm. We also tried to book extra online in advance, but the option was completely unavailable on the website. Lastly, while the beds were comfortable, it would be much better if the bed sizes were slightly larger so parents could sleep more comfortably with small kids.

Automated check in is potentially a nightmare; location is excellent and the hotel otherwise good.

Liked:The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the fantastic Wuppertal Monorail, and also has regular buses along the main road, so it's easy to get to and from the city centre or other attractions (and is only a 10 minute walk from restaurants etc). There's a petrol station cafe next door, convenient for snacks, as well as a supermarket.

Disliked:It was quite hot and no air con. Room was quite small. The coffee machine in the lobby didn't work, though the nearby cafe meant this wasn't a big issue. We didn't like the way the whole entry system was automated, without any human on site. Although we didn't have a problem - luckily we'd done all the required registrations in advance, so only needed to click a link on a phone to get the door code - every time we went in or out there was some poor soul desperately trying to navigate their system which clearly didn't work very well. Unlike in other hotels where if you arrive early you can often check in as the staff have some flexibility, the system here was very rigid; we managed to contact the 24/7 Whats App support to get a code to use a luggage locker until our appointed check-in time.

Disliked:Programming the room key on the terminal was not intuitive. I was placing the key card on the wireless payment terminal, and strangely enough the system told that the programming was successful, while the card did not work, confusing me and the people after me who tried the same. The key card needs to be placed for programming on the yellow area on the paper under the wireless payment area, as is written, but totally not intuitive to put the key on a paper, with the system telling that everything went well while it did not. But if you place the key on that paper it programs the key well, and the key card works.
