Liked:Very close to the boardwalk

Disliked:Did not know there wasn’t a pool on the premises. The pictures show pool but it’s actually across the street at other hotel.

It could have been a lot better, and would never stay here again.

Liked:Clean towels every day. Floors were dirty,, our feet were black , from walking on them. We should have been told ahead of time that there was no elevator. Could hardly open door to get in the room because the couch was in the way. The fire alarm was beeping all nightlong every2 minutes. The toilet ran all the time. If we wanted to cook there were no pot holders, no sharp knives , no cooking utensils , nothing. The place was the pits.

Nice, but won't stay again

Liked:The staff was very friendly and it was very close to the beach and boardwalk

Disliked:There was no elevator, so thankful it was only two floors. The room was clean, except the floor. I wiped it up with wet wipes and they were very dirty, as if it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. The building is old and needs some upkeep.

Failure to comply with a request

Liked:Quaint hotel. The ladies that cleaned the rooms were extremely pleasant and eager to please.

Disliked:I had booked 3 rooms. When I received the 'courtesy call' directly from the hotel, I asked to be put on the bottom floor since I have problems with stairs due to my rheumatoid arthritis and my son has MS. I was assured our rooms would be on the first floor. Well, that did not happen. We were assigned rooms on the second floor and the hotel does not have an elevator. Of course whenever I asked the woman at the front desk, she said there was no note in the system of my request. She had no vacancies and could not move us. Needless to say, my 'stay' there was not comfortable because (I have problems using the stairs because of the inflammation of my knees) of no elevator and having to use the stairs. My daughter in law went to the front desk to ask for more towels and another blanket since my two grandchildren were in her room. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude to her, which was unnecessary. However, the cleaning ladies in the Calypso were very, very accommodating and asked us everyday if we needed anything.
