Hidden gem in DC

Liked:This is a fantastic hidden gem. 1800s charm with just enough modern convenience. All the workers own the hotel so the spirit of assistance and hospitality is in every interaction with staff. I’ve stayed multiple times and would recommend to anyone coming to DC.

Quaint, comfortable and excellent service.

Liked:I had such a lovely 4 night stay. They made everything so easy (even helping with my big bag on the stairs). The dining room is delicious. I had a delicious egg sandwich one day and a ceasar salad another. Great service. Of course the fireplace bar is amazing as well. They had very clear instructions for using the nearby parking lot. My room was cleaned and tidied thoroughly each night. Will stay here again!

Step back in time!

Liked:The quaintness, most unique little hotel in Washington. I love that it has no TV’s and you’re encouraged to connect with people. Their tavern type lounge is packed with locals most nights and just has a “vibe” that can’t be explained. The employee owned staff is so kind and helpful! The food is 5-star! Don’t miss this hotel when you go to DC.

Best Hotel in DC, Hands down

Liked:Fabulous service, beautiful rooms, no screens (!!!!!), gentle music, delicious food and all the guests who come to the Tabard Inn are interesting people with whom to share a drink by the fire. All around great. Well done Tabard Inn.
