Terrible experience. The place has cockroaches. I do not recommend.

Disliked:Our stay was extremely disappointing and stressful from start to finish. And it only lasted some hours. We received no welcome message and no access code before arrival. We had to call the host ourselves and, despite arriving at night, we were left waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour before we could get in. The space is misleadingly advertised. The listing suggests access to different parts of the house, but, in reality, you only get a very small room with two beds. One of the beds is under a sloped ceiling so low that an adult cannot sit up or even lift their head properly. This should be clearly stated in the listing. The most serious issue was the cockroaches. At first, we hoped it was an isolated incident, even bought insect spray, but more appeared, so we left the same night. The host suggested sending someone to clean, but cockroaches are not a simple cleaning matter. They mean a hygiene problem, and we wanted to be able to cook and store food in the fridge. That automatically became impossible, because even the roaches were walking over the dishes. What made the situation worse was the handling of the refund. Neither the host nor Booking informed us that we needed to cancel the reservation to qualify for one. As a result, the host was most likely paid for a stay we did not use, and Booking offered no practical support. This happened in November. I stayed in contact with the host until January, waiting for the refund, but there was always a new excuse and no action. I would not recommend this place. Cleanliness and basic guest care were lacking. There are many hosts who manage their properties more responsibly. Also, do not expect Booking to solve refund problems or provide meaningful help in cases like this. According to them, refunds can only be issued with the host’s authorisation. In my case, the host claimed she had still not been paid even after almost three months — leaving everything in limbo and the guest without a solution.
