Disappointing - felt like poor value for money

Liked:The secluded location and great communal area. The staff (for the most part!) were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked:The tent was only moderately clean and had hair in the shower tray and plug. Housekeeping is by request, but no one told us this, so our room wasn’t touched until our final day. The food is average to poor and quite overpriced. And while it isn’t the staff’s fault, we had strong winds that shook our tent at the top of the resort so dramatically it was impossible to sleep. We asked staff to try and secure it and they just said it was fine and to use earplugs.

Beautiful, but not the experience we expected

Liked:Really beautiful location, and great staff, but not the quiet, dark sky experience we had anticipated. It was more like a typical camping experience with lots of activity- cars and people crunching on the gravel roads right next to our tent very loudly, lots of giggling and activity (very family friendly), we were able to hear conversations in the tents next to us, and we were hoping it would be dark enough to see the stars, but the camp was well lighted. Our wood stove pipe was broken and our tent smelled of smoke on arrival. The management took a long time to get this sorted out, which made our check-in a bit stressful. The staff started the stove for us, but it went out within an hour, and we couldn’t keep it going through the night, which made for a very cold, windy, sleepless night. The stove emits a lot of smoke into the tent, which made me feel sick. People with asthma or allergies to smoke would have a very hard time with this.
