Fabulous owners, spotlessly clean, stunning countryside, close to rivers - just perfect!

Liked:This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The owners greeted us like old friends and looked after our every need. Everything was spotlessly clean with beautiful outside areas for us to relax or eat with plenty of shade. The pool was huge with seating areas and a hammock where we could sit with views of gorgeous house and the extensive countryside all around. The breakfast was all completely homemade (even the bread each morning!) and delicious. The area is peaceful and remote but yet only 5 minutes by car to the nearest river spot. We travelled from the UK with our 2 sons (aged 18 years and 15 years) and they loved it as much as us. This was our first time to Portugal and we took a punt with travelling inland to river spots rather than sticking with the coast. I am so glad we did and we will definitely return.

Disliked:That we didn't stay longer!

Nice cosy place

Liked:The owners are very friendly and kind people! They made us feel very welcome and comfortable.The place was divine ,quiet nice area with lovely big pool and great accommodation.Very good money for value I have to say ,shame we couldn't stay longer but will definitely be back. Was nice to know they are also from UK. Many thanks 😊

One of the best places for a weekend getaway I've ever stayed at

Liked:Located in a quiet countriside spot, away from all major roads but still very easily accessible by car, no dirt roads. Note: car is necessary to get here and to travel arround (nearest villages are several kms away). Owners are wonderful people, very nice to talk to and very supportive. You get all the info on the region at a glance, any advice you might need (local restaurant, beaches etc). Very nice room. Great facilities (kitchen, pool, terrace, BBQ spot). I totally recommend this place. If you are looking for a quiest place to recharge your batteries, stop scrolling and book now — you've just found one.
