Disliked:The view from the hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately that was the main positive part of my stay. The location is extremely inconvenient if you do not have a car. There is essentially no regular public transport near the hotel, and walking from Meta station takes around 30–50 minutes, including a significant uphill section. More importantly, parts of the walk are genuinely dangerous: there is no pavement/sidewalk at all, so you have to walk directly along narrow roads with passing traffic. This is particularly unpleasant and unsafe at night. I really would not recommend walking between the station and the hotel after dark. The room was very small and did not feel up to the standard I would expect from a three-star hotel. The cleanliness was also disappointing, especially as the towels had an unpleasant smell. Another major issue is that there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms — it is only available in the common areas, which I found quite surprising. Breakfast was poor in both quality and selection. The hotel also has far too many restrictive rules: food is not allowed in the rooms, the swimming pool and bar close very early, and even the outdoor/terrace areas have restrictions on when guests are allowed to use them. The most frustrating experience happened on my last evening. The bar was supposed to close at 7 pm, but at around 6:45 pm they already refused to sell me any food. This was particularly strange because I had been able to buy food at approximately the same time the previous day. Given the isolated location of the hotel, this left me with very few alternatives for dinner. Communication was also sometimes difficult, as English was quite limited among the staff. Overall, the scenery is excellent, but the location, facilities, cleanliness, breakfast, restrictive rules and inconsistent service made the stay disappointing. I would only consider staying here if you have your own car.

Million dollar view (but no restaurant close)

Liked:The views were a million dollars, rooms were very clean and comfortable and good value

Disliked:Unfortunately there is no proper restaurant and what they do serve is poor, so plan on eating out for lunch and dinner. You will need your own transport to do that as the nearest restaurants are 4+ km away and there is no taxi service. It is a shame as in every other respect I would give the hotel 5 stars

Disaster of a hotel- NEVER AGAIN.

Liked:The spectacular view. The hotel was clean.

Disliked:This hotel is run like a prison, no food/drink back to the room but the hotel doesn’t have a restaraunt or bar. Location 30 mins walk from nearest sign of food or anything. You need a rental car/bike to stay here. We came back late one night and when parking, man on intercom started shouting ‘leave the car park’ when I entered the hotel I asked him why he was telling me to leave, he said oh I thought you weren’t resident we don’t want people taking pictures of view in carpark. The room is very very small, bathroom tiny, can barely turn in shower. Walls are paper thin, no noise after 12pm. Our first night we arrived late so we’re unpacking our bags when the phone rang. Obviously noise complaints. The tv in the room is the size of a laptop screen or smaller. The pool area is lovely with so much potential but unfortunately ruined by the hotel, no shaded area, our first day all sunbeds had umbrellas attached and the second day all umbrellas were removed from the beds leaving absolutely no shaded area in the searing hot sun. Another day they had a big umbrella over 2 beds which we were lucky to get and while we got in the pool staff came over and wound down the umbrella due to ‘wind’. There was a tiny breeze. No-one stayed around pool area as it was impossible to lie in boiling hot sun with no shade. Owner very rude and smokes cigarettes at reception leaving a smell of cigarettes all around the lobby. Breakfast is very poor with very limited options. You feel watched by staff with everything you do and we were once asked when we got back late where were we due to it being late . One of my biggest concerns was, the key of the room which included the key of the safe on it had to be given to reception every time you leave the hotel even if you are going to the pool. But yet the hotel has a sticker beside the safe saying hotel aren’t responsible for anything in the safe.
