Great location

Liked:The breakfast was amazing and had a great variety. Coffee was fantastic. The restaurant was overlooking the canal so the view couldn't be more beautiful. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Disliked:Took us a bit to check in.

Disliked:Disappointing Stay Despite Excellent Location The location of San Marco Palace is undoubtedly its biggest advantage, being just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing due to several service and hospitality issues. Upon arrival, Except for one Moroccan well experienced night shift receptionist the reception staff appeared unfriendly and did not offer a welcoming greeting or basic accommodation assistance. We also had to wait almost 24 hours before receiving a functioning electric kettle. During our first day, there were no cups, tea bags, coffee, or other basic in-room refreshments available. Housekeeping standards were below expectations. The room was not properly cleaned during our stay; staff merely replaced towels and replenished toilet paper without carrying out a full cleaning service. Breakfast was another major disappointment. The selection was very limited, with few alternatives available. Essential items such as bread were often replenished slowly, and the juice and coffee machines frequently required attention, resulting in delays and queues. The hotel seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests, while staffing levels appeared insufficient to handle demand efficiently. Overall, while the hotel's location is excellent, improvements in customer service, housekeeping, and breakfast operations are needed to provide the standard of experience expected by visitors to Venice.
