Location good, but dated rooms.

Liked:Location to grand canal. Rooftop bar nice, didnt eat there so cannot comment on food, we went to have a late coffee but oddly they didnt serve coffee.

Disliked:Hotel looks very posh but our superior room was a bit dated to say the least. Bed was very hard, wardrobe was painted and peeling paint near the floor. The shower was in the bath and it leaked all over the floor tiles, the mastic and grout around tiles was very neglected and not what you would expect from the Carlton hotel. The door to bathroom opened onto the sink which seemed very odd, and this was a superior room we had! Breakfast was not to our taste, croissants and apple Danish tough to bite into and overcooked. We have stayed in far better hotels and unfortunately wouldnt return to this hotel again.
