Liked:The location was good.

Disliked:The Breakfast though paid had limited options. Also the toilet flush was not so strong. I had to fill up water in a bucket to completely flush after using the toilet. The lighting in the room was not very good and user friendly and I had to call the customer service for instructions on how to switch off the lights before I slept. Further there was no intercom phone to call the front desk in case of any requirement.

Disappointed

Liked:Location, not far to walk for restaurants, shopping, close to cruise terminal.

Disliked:Vancouver is ridiculously expensive, we paid $350 AUD a night it looked like a backpackers, very old and tired. The photos when booking make it look much better than it is.

3 Star accommodation in a 3 star city

Liked:Mixed feelings about hotel The good 1) Staff Excellent, friendly and helpful 2) Price , great that even Taxi driver recommended due to high proof other Downtown hotels 3) Room cleaners , very good 4) beds , great size and comfortable 5) Evening free nonalcoholic cocktails great after a hot day 6) Nespresso coffee machine in room Need improvement 1) Decor of room been improving, mould around aircon unit extractor hose and window 2) bathroom needed redecoration The negatives ( none hotel fault) 1) Opposite hospital, so a lot of noise from ambulances throughout night 2) Fire Station must be near by as again a lot of sirens 3) Homeless shouting through night , believe it was at hospital as news had report on broken windows at hospital. It is due to close I believe in 2027 4) Vancouver homeless situation, especially prevalent in downtown east near Chinatown , very disturbing for my wife and could keep us from ever returning to Vancouver Travel books often compare Vancouver to Sydney due to its setting, Sydney far better as it uses its water location to its advantage. Sydney has far more waterside dinning , Darling Harbour, The Rocks , Fish market , Circular Quay etc , Vancouver has Canada place and that isn’t even comparable.
