Disliked:This establishment was discusting, Extremely Dirty (I have photos) We had to suffer two nights before I was able to arrange an alternative Hotel in Vancouver (which I booked through your website). We paid an EXTORTIONATE Fee for the House of Dunbar B and B. $530 per night and I expect to be refunded the 3 days we did not stay at House on Dunbar. At the B and B guests, of which there were 2 separate parties were expected to share a bathroom. Additionally to add insult to injury we were told to take off our shoes at the front door with no offer of any foot cover to walk through the Filthy house. We have also received an ABUSIVE email from the owner about Breakfast to which I have sent a response, I also have copies of this correspondence. This experience was traumatic. I have used Bookings.com on many occasions and had wonderful experiences. This establishment does not reflect your standards. Can someone from Bookings.com contact me to resolve this issue.

Disappointing - needs a good clean

Liked:A charming B&B in a beautiful leafy suburb. Great location and not too far from public transport to get into the city. Joanne is a lovely friendly host and prepared a delicious fresh breakfast each day - the pancakes were a highlight!

Disliked:Unfortunately our room was in the basement at the back of the house. There was no natural light so it was very dark, and with no windows opening to the outside there was no fresh air, which made it feel quite stale. It really did need a thorough clean - a bit grubby in places with lots of cobwebs and dust. The bathroom was dark and damp, with black mould in places. Perhaps this was due to no extractor fan? We know Vancouver is expensive but this seemed very overpriced for the room we had. Plus there wasn’t a single fire safety sign or smoke alarm anywhere…

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfy. The B&B was quiet set in a beautiful neighborhood.

Liked:The breakfast was a home cooked meal - salmon quiche, Japanese pancakes, ham and cheese quiche - all with a fruit bowl. Joanne served us at 9 am and sat for a little visit over coffee before my mom and I headed out for the day. Mia, the B&B house dog made sure to greet us every morning for pets.
