Way over priced for a terrible experience

Liked:Only the location

Disliked:The lack of attention of staff (not answering questions, giving wrong codes to get it etc…) We were notified 2 hours before arriving that the elevator was out of order (and it had been for a long time), 5 floors up and down There was almost nothing to cook with. There was a coffee machine without jug, an empty box of dishwasher tablets The small towels were disgusting, there was no floor Rowan for the bath/shower The base of the bath was rusting etc….

terrible, NOT as advertised

Liked:absolutely nothing

Disliked:advertised with working elevator and from other residents the elevator had not been working for over a week and the propriator tried to say had been broken only 2 days and it would be fixed in 2 hrs after we had been there with a scooter, and 4 suitcases over 45 pounds each. It was labor day aholiday and there were no elevator trucks around the whole building as we walked to check. They expected 2 disabled adults with 4 bags and a 40 pound scooter to go up and down 5 flights of stairs. There was no management present at desk in residence. We asked for another room on 1st floor and could not be accommodated . Asked for refund and were refused. My cousin walked 3 -4 blocks and found hotel for alot less who picked us up and set us up in there hotel with ease and friendliness. . Booking . com was of no help at all in our situation

Do not bother to book.

Disliked:The directions for admission were confusing particularly as the fob did not read on the outer door at first. We were able to enter the first time only because others were leaving. The parking directions were confusing to read, as the visitor spaces were in the first section, not the second. Upon our initial arrival we missed the elevator in the the parking level lobby (it's around a corner out of view when you enter) and ended up lugging luggage up several flights of stairs with a multitude of automatically closing fire doors at each landing in order to gain the main lobby. Not easy when you're 88 and 80! On our second day, the building elevator totally packed it in, leaving us five flights of stairs up and down every time we went out or in. Although help had been promised by Ashley at the lobby counter the day before, we had to depart before any help arrived, and lugged luggage down to the main lobby when we departed. One of my knees gave out as a result; fortunately I had brought a cane with me. Judging by sundry comments made by other occupants navigating these stairs, this elevator failure was not a rare happening. As the Meridian "hotel?" (although the name has been removed from the building exterior, it still appears in the lobby) seems to maintain some involvement in this building and as the stated reason for the elevator breakdown was caused by the doors being held open without using the key or button, a luggage dolly for internal use, at least, might be practical . Only one set of keys and fob were left in the apartment thereby making us unable to leave the apartment separately which seriously hampered our plans for our visit. The apartment was very clean, but the tub is badly rusted on the bottom and should be re-enamelled. Enamelled metal 'Pembroke' tubs like this can be re-enamelled in place without going through expensive renovations. The wifi finally appeared the last evening of our visit, but was useless.
