Below standard communication and service from staff and not great value for money.

Liked:The place is beautiful and the room was very spacious. The pool was a delight!

Disliked:Communication and assistance from staff was below a satisfactory standard. They did not inform us of when we lost access to running water. We did not have access to a shower or bathroom tap for 18 hours. We had to ask what was going on and was given an unclear timeframe for when the water would be turned back on which was frustrating as we wanted to shower before bed but eventually gave up. The water did not come back on until the next morning. The buggy that they advertised for taking us to central Uluwatu for free was out of action for the majority of our stay and we were once again not informed until we asked. Whilst the water and buggy breakdown are not their fault, their communication on both counts was below standard. The bathroom mirror was rusty and the lighting in the bathroom was just too dim. The doors whilst rustic looking lacked the practicality that one would expect. The picture shown on the website does not show the new giant construction site next to the villa. It is both an eyesore and loud with construction starting at 8am every morning. This also has affected the road towards the villa which is very difficult to navigate without the buggy and proved challenging for our grab drivers. This accomodation was not great value for money. There were places in Bali which we stayed in for far cheaper which provided better stays and significantly better service.

Secluded tropical stay with pool and traditional Balinese style villas

Liked:The property was in a more quiet part of Uluwatu, it had a lovely pool and was set upon a beautiful property. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a buggy service available for free to get you to the Main Street and beach. There is a private staircase that leads down to the beach through the jungle.

Disliked:Contrary to the images supplied, the vast majority of trees in the valley have now been cleared for development and there is constant construction during the day. There are also monkeys who visit regularly. The food was ok - and service was a bit slow.

Warning about construction

Liked:Its a cool unique spot, the pool was awesome, loved seeing the monkeys coming from the jungle in the morning (lots of people probably wouldn't find that a good thing) the golf cart was handy and the staff were really quick to come pick you up again.

Disliked:Construction literally everywhere around it, if I had known the extent I wouldn't have booked it... restaurant hours were sort of when they felt like it? Breakfast wasnt until 8:30 - 9 which was pretty late for us so went elsewhere. Its a bit of an odd place if you go in with low expectations you'll be right.
