You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property currently isn't accepting guests from certain countries, during dates where such guidelines exist. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A damage deposit of CAD 200 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by PayPal. You should be reimbursed within 14 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via PayPal, subject to an inspection of the property.

Refusal to accommodate and Identity theft concerns.

Disliked:Refused to accommodate and IDENTITY THEFT concerns. The property requested a selfie of the guest holding ID in hand and a photo of ID over unsecured email communication as a condition for giving you the check-in information (including the room number) immediately after the free refund period ended. This is not mentioned in the check-in policy or earlier communications (when one can get a full refund). The property refused to follow its own check-in policy or fully refund the trip. More creepily, when I was calling Booking customer service, and when Booking agent was calling this property to address policy violation, I received multiple calls from an unknown Hong Kong number that had 12 scam reports online. The reports suggested that this number specifically pretends to be a Booking or Booking hotel agent and requests personal information to commit identity theft fraud. The Guardian also reported a phishing scheme like this, where Booking emails were hacked. When I called the Booking customer service the following day, I received another phishing call during the call! We don't know where the hacking happened between the property and Booking or how much this property was involved in the phishing. But this is certainly the creepiest short-rental experience I'd ever had. We ended up booking another last-minute motel stay--it was most inconvenient and disruptive to the travel plan. I am still in contact with Booking to get the money back (which involves hours of wait on customer service calls...) But at least, we dodged an identity theft scam.

MISLEADING LISTING - DO NOT BOOK - UNHELPFUL STAFF

Liked:Location was great, close to Subway, Restaurants and Groceries.

Disliked:The UNIT WAS ADVERTISED WITH HIGH SPEED INTERNET BUT THERE WAS NO INTERNET CONNECTION! The key reason I chose this property, However, the REALITY was very different - the internet was non functional and even WORSE, it turns out the connection is SHARED FROM ANOTHER UNIT without any repeater or mesh system. This makes the setup extremely CHEAP AND MISLEADING. We stayed for 3 nights 4 days and the internet issues was never resolved during our entire stay. As a result, I was unable to work remotely for three full days, which caused significant disruption and stress. This situation is completely unacceptable. NO RESPONSE AND ACTION FOR THREE DAYS. I expect his matter to be taken seriously and I am requesting appropriate compensation for the false advertising and the significant impact this had on my work.
