A Relaxing Tokyo Stay with Club Lounge Dining and a Special Tanabata Touch

Liked:I stayed at The Westin Tokyo for one night on July 7, 2026, during a Tokyo staycation with a friend. We stayed in a Premium King room. The room had a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Some parts of the property do show their age, but the bathroom and other water areas felt nicely renovated and comfortable to use. The highlight of our stay was the Club Lounge. In the evening, we enjoyed a buffet-style selection of light dishes along with drinks. There were also special cocktails available, which made it a nice place to relax without having to leave the hotel for dinner. We also had breakfast in the Club Lounge the next morning. It was served buffet-style, and it was nice to take our time and choose whatever we wanted. Since we stayed on July 7, the hotel had a Tanabata display with colorful paper strips where guests could write their wishes and hang them up. It was a small seasonal touch, but it made the stay feel more memorable and personal. Before leaving the hotel, we stopped by the lobby lounge on the first floor and had sandwiches and a small parfait. The lounge has a beautiful high ceiling, a dramatic chandelier, and views of the greenery outside. It was a very pleasant place to relax before heading home. The hotel has a classic atmosphere overall, especially in the lobby area. While it may not feel as modern as some newer luxury hotels in Tokyo, the renovated facilities and elegant public spaces give it a comfortable balance of old and new. The location is also convenient, and I appreciated being able to reach the hotel from the station without worrying too much about the weather. Overall, I enjoyed the stay, especially the Club Lounge, the seasonal Tanabata experience, and the relaxing time at the lobby lounge before departure. I would recommend it to travelers who enjoy a classic luxury hotel atmosphere and want to spend time relaxing inside the hotel rather than simply using it as a place to sleep.
