Good choice

Liked:My son and I had an excellent stay at the Sutton Brouerie. The room was very nice and well furnished. The bar below was really nice and the staff were lovely. The food was excellent and I really enjoyed trying the various beers that they brew in-house. The only reason that I am not giving a five star review is that he floor on the main floor was concrete, so it was cold on the feet. I would still highly recommend it.

Falsely Advertised - Beware

Liked:We stayed at Auberge Sutton Brouerie for one night. The room was advertised as: "Located in Sutton, Auberge Sutton Brouerie offers 3-star accommodation with a terrace, a shared lounge and a bar. The property is set 5 km from Mont Sutton. Mediterranean cuisine is served at the restaurant. The rooms include air conditioning, a fridge, a coffee machine, a shower, a hair dryer, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD Player. The inn features certain units with river views, and each room is fitted with a kettle. All rooms have a wardrobe." Our room was not in the big building as shown and advertised in their photos, but we were given a room in a little ‘annex’ next door, across the parking lot. The shower / toilet were down the hall. Kitchen was on the next floor. Our room did not have a kettle, a fridge, a coffee machine, a shower, a TV, and not even a bathroom or shower. We had a bunk bed, a wardrobe and a hairdryer (no mirror in the room). The bathroom and shower were down the hall. The kitchen was on the next floor and was a shared kitchen with the 3 other rooms. The listing clearly states “private kitchen”, which it is now. We never saw a TV. Also no toiletries are offered, except bodywash in the bathroom. We had clean towels and linen. The listing is misleading and falsely advertised. Unfortunately when we arrived at 5pm, the Auberge was fully booked and we couldn’t change rooms. Had we known that there was no bathroom /shower, fridge or TV in the room, we would have booked elsewhere. Check in time was 4pm and checkout time was 10am. No breakfast was available on the property. Our $149 room with all taxes came to $175. Their only saving grace was that it was clean.

No air conditioner...

Liked:When we arrived, we were told that the air conditioning was not working... It turns out that it was already 30 Celcius outside, result, a good 33.5 well felt upstairs without possibility of cooling because only two windows in R-C. No notice except once there telling us that it wasn't that bad. There were three other rooms in the same situation. A call would have allowed us to reassess our options. Result, we went to Cowansville without any apology from the receptionist. Checked although the air conditioning is working if you book

Lovely stay, modern industrial feel, dog friendly + cute town

Liked:We loved this little inn. 8 rooms, we stayed in #4 i believe which had a king bed with another king bed in an upstairs loft. Super comfortable bed, nicely sized bathroom with good shower, in-room refrig filled with their own brews, coffee maker, Netflix on the TV and good AC. Sutton is the cutest of the Eastern Townships towns that we visited. Lots of small shops and restaurants within 5 min walking distance. I wish we had booked 2 nights. This inn was so much nicer than one we booked at Knowlton. Really cute place and great stay! Dog friendly too. Only downside was that the brewery/restaurant was closed the day we visited, although that probably kept it quieter. Would definitely return!
