Great location and amenities at Village Inn and Pub

Liked:So happy we chose The Village Inn and Pub for our vacation. Location was good for first time on SSI. The Inn is just at the top of the downtown section, which made it really easy to walk to restaurants, ice cream, the light house and the pier. Although it is on a main street, most of the rooms face an inner courtyard which was quiet. These rooms overlook the pool, beautiful live oak trees and other Inn building. There is no elevator, but steps were easy. Every employee that we chatted with were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. And our room (204) had many nice touches and was very clean. We had a very comfortable bed, two chairs, and bench that was convenient when we returned to the room and lots of light. There is a desk if you must work. There was a clothing steamer and nice toiletries. Local chocolates and complimentary water in bottles for us after every housekeeping. The only recommendation I can think of for the room would be hooks near the door to hang up wet raincoats. Another great consideration is the Pub! We went over for most happy hours to enjoy the atmosphere before heading out to dinner. Lots of nice people enjoying music and company. One evening we returned after dinner for the Music Bingo! The Pub does fill quickly because it is not that large. The Pub is also the location of the breakfast. There are a few hot items, fruit, yogurt and pastries along with juice, coffee, tea. We would easily return to The Village Inn and Pub. *Ask for a room that faces the Courtyard.

Perfect Little Hotel

Liked:What a charming little hotel! Our room was small but well appointed and comfortable with nice bedding. The pub was a lot of fun and a lively night spot for St Simon residents and guests alike. The complimentary breakfast was good and was slightly better than what one would expect for a free hotel breakfast. The grounds were very well kept and inviting plus the hotel is in a perfect location.

Hidden Gem

Liked:I've been here before with my adult daughter and we fell in love. It's been our favorite "hotel" since then. The rooms are beautiful and so cozy. The bed is perfect. It's like a hidden gem and feels like a vacation when I'm here. This time my husband is with me. To my surprise, he loves it, and the town, as much as I do. He isn't one to fuss over anything, but he's raving about this place. Cookies in the lobby are delicious. Breakfast is nice. Highly recommend.

Liked:A wonderful tropical oasis amid a very busy beach area. Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. The pub was a popular spot for meeting friends with music & drink specials. The only thing I was disappointed about was breakfast. I went to the Pub for breakfast at 9:40 and no hot food was left, the fresh fruit was scarce, no yogurt. Breakfast was served to 10am. The Village Inn & Pub is conveniently located to many restaurants, the beach, shopping and activities.
