Looking very shabby and lacking ongoing maintenance. With current temperatures it’s not a place to visit to get any slee

Disliked:It was unbearably hot in the room, even though a fan was provided the window only opens a very small amount which prevented much airflow. We didn’t get any sleep

Liked:It was such a lovely setting and really felt like getting away from it all. We were able to sit on sun loungers in the garden and have a cocktail. The bar was beautiful and we ate a delicious meal in the restaurant. Loved the pool, which was nice and cool on a hot day.

Disappointing

Liked:Location and outward appearance. Majority of the staff very pleasant and helpful.

Disliked:Inadequate ventilation and cooling in communal areas (bar and restaurant) Speed of service. Waited 45 minutes from ordering food to then be presented with main course rather than the starter. The starter was described as a sharing dish, however was more akin to a ‘taster’ portion. When highlighted, the staff member did reply ‘that has been mentioned a number of times before’ Main course then reappeared and we were assured it had been ‘freshly prepared’ however the temperature of the crockery and the food, suggested otherwise and the fact that the garnish burnt the palette was another indicator to the contrary. Despite the above, the food itself was very tasty. (Once it had been left to cool) No air conditioning in the bedroom and the single desk fan did nothing to help this resulting in a very uncomfortable night. Very small room and certainly in need of refurbishment and maintenance. To be fair, when the issues were highlighted to the staff members the following morning, there was a ‘good will gesture’ offered.
