Renovation needed

Liked:The pool area.

Disliked:The location was very difficult to find. Google Maps did not provide accurate directions, so we had to contact the host and ask them to send us the exact location. The property itself leaves a lot to be desired and is in need of major renovation. It was relatively clean: the bed linen, towels and bathroom were clean. However, there were quite a few problems. Old furniture, broken chairs on the terrace. The toilet would not fill with water. The kitchen stove was an old electric one, and only one of the four burners worked. It took us about an hour just to make coffee. The TV in the kitchen was tiny — about the size of a phone. In the bedrooms, only one of the electrical sockets worked, and an extension cord was plugged into it. Throughout the house, there were some photographs hanging on the walls. We still don't understand what they had to do with the property or its concept. The only thing we really enjoyed was the pool area. The children absolutely loved it. As for Sidari itself, we were not impressed at all. The beach was dirty, and the tourist area is basically one street, with shops on one side and tavernas on the other. After visiting several other beaches and areas of Corfu, we realized that choosing Sidari was a mistake. There are much more interesting and attractive places on the island for tourists. Overall, we still had a good impression of Corfu. After all, we were on holiday and tried to enjoy our time there. However, I would never recommend staying at Hygge Corfu.

Don’t stay here it’s an absolute dump!!

Liked:Nothing was good other than the location was alright

Disliked:On arrival the room was filthy, not cleaned at all! Mosquitoes flying all over and dead ones around places. Decor was terrible. Mattresses had mould on them as did the pillows. Towels was dirty as was all the bedding stained beyond belief. The aircon was non existent I could blow colder air!! The aircon was leaking over the bed which no doubt was the cause of the mould and didn’t work not even 5% of efficiency for the entire time we stayed and was never fixed! Immediately on arrival I raised a complaint with booking.com provider and it was also raised with the accommodation Rep who was very rude and intimidating perhaps because he had to do some work! Either way I wouldn’t let my dog stay here and I’m glad I took the photos and videos to show how bad it was, talk about guest house paradiso theirs better accommodation in Kajaki. The pool area wasn’t up to scratch and the only thing I used was a bed and that was so uncomfortable even then I feel I should have walked out but with little to no choice due to other accommodation all booked up!! Oh and the doors had insufficient locks to secure from inside adequately! and the room had no safe at all, yes they did bring one but it’s not secured or bolted down so any insurance is void straight away! I have raised the issue with booking.com and will be also opening a dispute with the money paid with my credit card because what a dump it is and I will not except any excuses off the owner I have the proof needed going forward.

Thanks for the comfortable stay we liked it

Liked:Great value for money ,very comfortable bed ,ten min walk to Sidari -good location,everything we needed for our stay ,would recommend for budget friendly comfort ,staff very pleasant too

Disliked:Minor issue on Google Maps it didn’t take us to the place but nearby, it’s called seahorse if looking on maps

Lovely property, friendly staff and clean.

Liked:The pool area was very nice and clean. The room felt very privet with an enclosed balcony and privet bathroom. And a cleaner came by every day who was very lovely.

Disliked:We found it difficult to cook in the property the oven was not very good and there minimal kitchen supplies.
