Location is good but property needs attention

Liked:The location and breakfast were great

Disliked:No towels at the pool I had to ask they took only 3 for me and my kids , but there was more people there . Also we only had two towels in the bathroom we were 4 so I had to ask for more . The door had a gap under so we could hear all the noise . And the staff not friendly the property needs attention for the price they charge

Run away!!!!

Liked:If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to actively contract a fungal infection, stay here!! This place is a motel, not a hotel and IHG should be ashamed that it’s a member of their brand. The shower ceiling has mold on it, there are flies everywhere, and the initially checked us into a dirty room with inlaid beds.

Disliked:Where to begin... First of all, don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. They are carefully framed to hide the nearby road and the reality of the actual surroundings. The swimming pool is practically in the parking lot, right next to a public trail where passing walkers can casually watch you swim. The rooms are incredibly basic and outdated, and the entire facility feels old and grimy. Even the elevator doors seem like they're just waiting to crush you. Then there's the breakfast, which was just plain horrible. The omelet had more in common with my shoe sole than an actual egg. And I don't even want to start on the turkey sausage patty, I could have used it as a sponge! TV screens all over the place. Who wants to watch TV in a hotel cafeteria ?! Oh yeah, funny thing though. Two ducks where waiting in front of the exit door trying to rob some breakfast ! Overall, this place felt like a complete rip-off. When we drove off on Highway 1 toward Big Sur, we passed several small mom-and-pop inns down by Carmel-by-the-Sea, and I really wish we had stayed at one of those instead. They may be modest, but they undoubtedly offer much better value for your money. This hotel simply isn't worth it. Save your cash and go elsewhere.
