Pick somewhere else

Disliked:I would not recommend staying at the Spark by Hilton Savannah Airport. The hotel is in very poor condition. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the floors are dirty and so sticky that you don’t even want to walk on them barefoot, and the overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The pool was also disappointing. The water looked gray and uninviting, so we didn’t feel comfortable spending much time there. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The front desk employee who wears a head wrap was consistently unhelpful and unprofessional. At check-in, she told me I was going to be charged for two rooms, even though I had canceled the second room a week before my arrival. That mistake caused unnecessary stress. Throughout our stay, every interaction with her was frustrating. Whenever I approached the front desk, she would ignore me for several minutes before finally asking, “You need something?” despite clearly seeing me standing there. It felt like guests were an inconvenience. I requested a luggage cart, but the carts were broken. I asked for extra towels and was refused. Housekeeping never serviced our room during our stay, despite us expecting basic cleaning and fresh towels. Between the poor condition of the property, the lack of cleanliness, the broken equipment, the disappointing pool, and the consistently poor customer service, this was not a pleasant experience. There are much better hotel options in the Savannah airport area, and I would choose one of those instead.

Good Value

Liked:Our first time at a Spark by Hilton hotel. Overall, good value. There was an issue with one of our rooms at check in that could have let to a bigger problem. The front desk associate was very helpful getting things corrected. You could tell this is a high volume hotel, but it was maintained well.

First Experience at Spark by Hilton

Liked:Location was good. The staff were nice and helpful. Surprisingly, my room was clean for the most part and comfortable. The room looked to have been recently renovated, thankfully. My first impression of the hotel was with the beaten down lobby and entrance. The stone entryway, the rug inside the automatic doors, the doors, the elevator, and rug leading to the elevator were all FILTHY! All the white wooden molding around the floor in the lobby was filthy. The one luggage cart was dangerously rickety and covered with oatmeal flakes. I used it anyway with caution. I parked and noted the security light above my car was broken and hanging by a wire which from the looks of it has been broken for a while. I expected better from Hilton. Didn’t know low cost meant low quality.
