Best place for families who love action

Liked:We love pirate village. This year, it has certainly uplevelled. Having been for the past three years, this year the pools were better, all the animation events were better and the rooms were better. The pirates are absolutely amazing, so talented and put on amazing shows. Everything was safer. Staff remembered our children and they had an amazing time. We even got a free pass to the western water park and transfer for booking directly. Our family loves this place and will definitely be back.

Amazing!

Liked:My friend and I with 4 children have just returned from a stay at Pirates village and all I can say is wow! We had such an amazing time. From start to finish all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them. The location is great, a short walk to a beautiful beach and the hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The one thing that made the holiday was the entertainment team! The pirates are out entertaining the kids during the day with pool activities and water fights and everyone is amazing with the children. The evening entertainment blew us all away especially Hermes with his acrobatic performance. I don’t usually like to go back to the same place twice but we can’t wait to book to come back next year!

Would never stay there again

Liked:Property was nice.

Disliked:We had a nanny which was going to look after our kids for 2 hours and she was denied access to the hotel. The room was cleaned twice in one week. Tried to call the reception numerous times, they never answer the phone. To use the safe deposit box you need to pay extra for that.

Amazing holiday cant wait to come back

Liked:Having just returned from a week here I thought I would write my honest review. we stayed for 1 week Self catering 2 asults and a 5 and 6 year old. Apartments the apartment was quite dated and not really set up for self catering, there was the bare minimum when it came to plates, cutlery and glasses and the microwave was really dirty but as we didnt plan on cooking it really didnt matter to us. The Sofa bed was broken but the bed in the bedroom is massive so the 4 of us slept in there absolutly fine and the guy on reception sent someone up to fix it the next day. The cleaning in the aprtments wasnt great either but we had an amazing view of the stage from our apartment and none of this would stop us staying again Sun beds There are plenty of sunbeds but not enough umbrellas although these can be purchased across the road for about £10. People seemed to be reserving umbrellas at about 7.30am using pool rings and then when the sunbeds were unlocked around 9.30am going back down with towels. If you are not bothered about a sunbed right next to the pool you will still be able to get them much later though. We spend most of our time in the pool so just put towels in a pile some days. Pools The pools are great but the thing to highlight in this section is the lifeguards, they are amaxing and dont miss anything. i saw them jump out of their seats veryt quickly just if a small child went near to the edge so they could get there quicker if needed. I have nevr experienced such good lifeguards on holiday and as I have 2 children who are not at all water confident it made me feel much better. My Son cut his head on day 1 and they were brilliant with him when cleaning it up also. Entertainment Amazing is all I can say really, they really take on their roles and the some of the 'naughty' pirates are quite scary but all 4 of us really enjoyed all the shows that we saw. The entertainment team really get involved with everything and are really good with the kids. In the evening they put small chairs along the front of the stage for all the children and then the sdults can sit behind. I understand you have to pay for the front tables but cant confirm that as we just sat where there was space or watched the shows from our balcony. At the end of the shows the kids are invited up to have photos taken which was really nice. The Pirate attack on Sunday is amazing alough very very crazy. make sure any smaller kids know where to meet you after it as there are just kids everywhere! The only real downside to this hotel for us which wouldnt stop us staying again is that there is nowhere to get changed/showered if you have a late flight home. We asked to keep out room which wasnt possible due to it being full. no problem so I asked if there was anywhere to change/Shower as collection to the airport wasnt until 7pm. I was advised there was a shower behind the tower where the slides are. This room had a shower in it and 2 toilets but there was no doors on the shower and the toilet doors didnt lock. The floor was also soaked as it is a toilet used by everyone at the pool and nowhere to put a bag down. Like I said this wouldnt stop me booking again but I would get an early flight
