Liked:The hotel stuff were very helpful. The location was close to the mall and There's a shuttle bus to take you to and from the mall.The breakfast was excellent

Fiasco at THE SANDTON HOTEL PENTHOUSE!

Liked:Location was convenient.
Disliked:Room was not clean upon my arrival despite having written note prior to arrival requesting it be clean and all appliances functioning Floor had tiny bits of trash on bedroom and bathroom floor. The drapes wouldn't close which allowed sunlight in at 6am. I told management and the room was cleaned but by that time the first impression was set. I wanted to take a bath and bought bath salts. I was swishing the salts around in bath water and some type of residue started dropping from sides of tub. I later determined it was candle wax apparently used by last room occupant. I was HORRIFIED! I notified management AGAIN "Sorry, sorry" but responses were not sincere as when I returned to my room that night AFTER housekeeping had supposedly serviced my room only to find the bath salts Id placed in the tub the previous evening still in the tub. There was also a floss pik on floor underneath the bedroom desk. I had to call maintenance because tv in bedroom wasn't working. A maintenance man responded and while he was doing repairs I saw something crawling on top of the bed cover. It was a tiny roach...OMG make it stop! I was screaming and the maintenance man knocked roach to the floor but didn't kill it. I killed him and his twin with my house shoe. The Guest Service Manager responded to my apartment but didn't come inside to see the bath salts were still present i had to insist. ???? I was in the Penthouse apartment and it was a fiasco.
