Disliked:Cleanliness of the bar, restaurant, patio areas, they were not taken care of to the level you would expect for a hotel.

Disliked:The room was a bit old. Shower would not drain fast so showered in backed up water. Room was not made up one day. Not up to Double Tree standards

I was happy with hotel and location and will probably book again and just call to get clarity !

Disliked:We booked thru booking.com and it was deceiving because I never feek disclosures are made with prices . I was advised at checkin that there was a fee for parking and my pet . This wasn’t made clear ahead of time. I find this frustrating . It is a lovely place and young lady I made aware did comp me for parking which is was happy about . I also believed I booked king bed and we ended up with queen ???

It's Decent, but could be better

Liked:The location is nice. It's close to Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and a small beach with a playground. Food places are a short drive, and the view was good. The hotel has excellent water pressure, and the shampoo & condition are good too (not watery like other places I've stayed). The security guard was a friendly face and immediately acknowledged that I was there. Housekeeping was also friendly and did a great job in cleaning our room.

Disliked:Our bathroom didn't have a working exhaust fan, and the lights were quite dim. The balcony furniture should be cleaned regularly, as it was dusty, had bird droppings, and the lounge chair had a large hole in it. If you get a room with a balcony, be prepared to see what your neighbor is doing. The balcony walls are short and you can easily see into other guests' rooms. I paid extra for breakfast to be included in my stay, however, I didn't receive my vouchers for the first morning. The gentleman at the front gave me the vouchers, and advised that they should've been put under our door. Yet, on the second morning, we still didn't have breakfast vouchers. 🤔 Parking is $25 per night, and all meal tickets charge a 20% gratuity, even the "included breakfast." The pictures on their site show a full breakfast buffet, but that isn't the case at all. Everything is pre-plated in the kitchen, which you order from a menu. We chose the "American breakfast" plates, and let me just say, the food is nowhere near the amount they charge for it. Overall, the stay was decent, but for what you're being charged, it could be better. I was underwhelmed, because I was expecting to have my experience match others' reviews, and that didn't happen.
