Excellent family vacation

Liked:We had an amazing 3-night stay. The staff is friendly, capable, and eager to meet any requests. The rooms were very clean and as represented on the site. You're truly in the jungle and right along the river.

Mystic River Should Win All the Awards!

Liked:Mystic River will go down as one of my family's favorite hotels of all time. The resort is gorgeous with guest rooms, perfect for small families, nestled in the forest. The dining area serves amazing food, as well as incredible views of the river. The resort is a birding paradise, has great hiking trails, river access, and a fantastic pool area that both kids and adults can enjoy. We did several of the offered excursions, with Leslie and Marlon as our guides. Both were incredibly knowledgable and fun, but more importantly, both are fathers of young children and paid special attention to our nine year old son, making sure he enjoyed the tours as well. I cannot recommend Mystic River enough. If you are on the fence, book it now- you wont regret it!

Amazing views and services, food was so so.

Liked:The few nights we stayed here was one of the highlights of our trip! We booked the room with the soaking pool and it was the one thing i wanted to do every day after a hot day in the sun. Despite not having air conditioning, the rooms stayed relatively cool with the fans and the views of the rain forest and river were absolutely stunning in the afternoon. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast and coffee/tea service to our rooms each morning and sat out on our deck listening to the rain forest come alive. We also took advantage of the free bird watching tour, which was a nice way to walk the grounds in the early morning. This place is great for quiet, peaceful relaxation amongst the exotic rainforest. There are only 15 rooms, which makes this feel exclusive and luxurious. The only bad mark i would leave is that the food options were limited. We would have liked more options for dinner, rather than one fixed option for dinner or you eat off the lunch menu, which also didn't have a lot of exciting choices. Overall it was a pricey stay, but we felt it was worth what we spent.
