Was I even welcome? Do you call this a guest house?? Very disappointing

Liked:Angela was a great cook. She makes excellent breakfast and coffee. She is very courteous and friendly. Kudos to her!

Disliked:Check in was hostile and TERRIBLE The front door was locked and no amount of ringing the door bell, text messages, phone calls and emails could elicit even one response from Kathleen. Made me feel most unwelcome. Later I was discovered by chance that there was a note stuck on the front door meant for me. The note contained a secret code that I needed to punch in to get in. Was I entering a guest house or playing a Treasure Island game? After standing outside for over an hour in the cold I booked another hotel paying $107. And how would Kathleen be so unprofessional to not have the courtesy to respond to a guest? Would Kathleen pay me with $107 as compensation for the harassment I had to go through? And then my room was in the attic with no elevator. Was I expected to lug my baggage all the way up two flights of steep stairs? Very disappointing, overall. Not recommended.
