It was horrible

Liked:I accidentally left my hair extensions hanging in the closet after checking out. I spent two weeks trying to recover them, contacting the hotel several times, but they never returned my property. I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled and with the lack of honesty and customer service. I would advise future guests to be very careful with their personal belongings.

Hotel was not a Hilton hotel as it did not represent Hilton well

Liked:This hotel was horrible and not up to doubletree standards at all. Hello. I stayed at the Doubletree in San Diego on Hotel Circle. As a long time Hilton customer, I was very displeased with the accommodations here. The room had an odor so we had to spray air freshener all night. It was right near an elevator so we heard it through the thin walls all night long. the suite had a secondary area for our son to sleep in but the divider door was a glass door so he can see in our room. the AC was in his side of the room so when the divider door was closed the AC in our room turned off. the floor was slanted towards the center so the TV looked like it would fall on us any moment. I have stated at doubletree Hilton for 15 years and I have never paid this price point for "motel 6 quality". When asked about our stay in A text message I rated them a 1. when asked what was wrong I mentioned these issues and the person in the message says she would call me before 6pm that night. At 6:25pm-still no call so I texted back. I then received a call And that person (I believe the general manager)-had no clue what my issue was-so obviously did not read the text messages I sent. I had to explain it all again. she offered to change rooms but we declined since we were completely unpacked and getting ready for bed and decided we did not want to unpack and repack to unpack again and repack again since we were leaving the next morning. She then offered any breakfast we wanted from the breakfast restaurant for the next morning. Upon obtaining the vouchers the restaurant stated it was only for the buffet, not the made to order breakfasts. And she stated she would give us 10,000 which we assumed would be a lot, but found out after that was barely equivalent to $30. so we can't even get enough points to book a night somewhere else? Or at least give us one night discount for this horrible place we were in? The price point of almost $300/night was ridiculous for motel 6 quality. I would recommend to anyone to NEVER stay at this hotel. Even when they attempt to compensate you for their poor quality they don't. I expect much better from Hilton Erica Campbell
