Disappointing service for a hotel at this price level

Disliked:I genuinely hope the hotel management or owner reads this review. I did not choose The Cloud One Salzburg as a budget option. I deliberately paid a higher price expecting a premium stay, good facilities, and, most importantly, a high standard of hospitality and service, especially as we were visiting during our honeymoon. Unfortunately, while the property itself is nice, the service was extremely disappointing. Our first impression started badly at check-in. We were welcomed by a staff member named David, who appeared visibly annoyed and uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. There was no warm welcome or even a simple smile, and whenever I asked a question, the answers were unclear and unhelpful. For a hotel in this price category, basic hospitality should at least include a friendly and welcoming attitude. Housekeeping was even more disappointing. On the first day, we left the room early in the morning and activated the room-cleaning button, yet nobody cleaned the room. When I called reception, I was simply told that I had to specifically inform the front desk if I wanted the room cleaned. This makes me wonder: what is the purpose of having a housekeeping/cleaning button in the room? The following day, after I personally confirmed that the room needed cleaning, housekeeping only made the bed. The rubbish was left behind and the room was not properly cleaned at all. Even with our luggage, there was no effort to assist us. The hotel itself has good facilities and potential, but the level of service does not match the price being charged. For what we paid, and considering that we chose this hotel for part of our honeymoon, the experience was genuinely disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because improving basic hospitality and housekeeping standards would make a significant difference.
