The apartments are nice, but they are not properly maintained, and there is lack of communication

Liked:We liked the apartment itself. It was very close to the sea, everything was exactly as shown in the photos, and the area was quiet.

Disliked:Upon arrival, no one was there to meet us, and checking into the apartment turned out to be quite a challenge. If it hadn’t been for other tourists who were staying there, we probably would have been left waiting in the lobby, as it was impossible to reach anyone at the phone numbers provided. We had to walk almost two kilometres there and back to find the reception, which is shared by all the apartments in Salou. And this was after a flight! We were given a code to access the building, and payment was made on site. When we checked in, we noticed that the clothes drying rack was broken. We couldn’t reach anyone by phone, so we reported it immediately through Booking.com on the day of our arrival. We still haven’t received any response. We also had to figure out on our own where to take the rubbish. The shower drain was blocked and the water was draining very slowly. Sometimes the water even overflowed from the bathroom into the hallway. As a result, after every shower, we had to clean up the bathroom floor and sometimes the hallway as well. In the evenings, some teenagers who were not staying at the apartments would come to the swimming pool. They simply followed other guests into the building and then made noise in the pool area right under our windows. There was no one monitoring or controlling this. The only staff we saw were the cleaners, who did not speak English and were unable to answer any of our questions. There was virtually no communication or support from the reception. Whenever we needed to ask a question or resolve an issue, we had to go to the reception in person. It has now been four days since we returned, and our €200 security deposit has still not been refunded. We left the apartment clean and tidy, and nothing was damaged. The apartments themselves are nice and the location is very good, but there is clearly no proper management or support for the guests. The lack of communication and assistance was extremely disappointing.

Liked:Beautiful apartment with stunning sea views. Bed was comfortable in the bedroom, but the bed settee was not as comfortable, there were plenty of towels and bedding supplied. We were supplied with a little cleaning pack which was a nice touch. Apartment had coffee machine, toaster and water in the fridge. Good size tv.

Disliked:Very confusing check in details. We arrived at the apartment after booking through booking.com the self check in screen wouldn't let us check in. We were given no other instructions about how to check in, a very kind French couple helped us as they had the same problem, they supplied us with the address to check in which was approximately a 10 minute taxi drive away from the apartment. The main patio door in the room was so stiff we couldn't open it.

Great property key code should be at property not 1 mile away

Disliked:Should of told me that key was at office was provided free transfer with booking from airport Driver didn't know where office was and dropped me at property with no key had to wake 2 mile at 11pn with 8 year old.staff said booking.com book transfer there fault u didn't know lack of communication from both parties in my opinion
