Lovely and special honeymoon experience

Liked:It was an absolutely lovely destination for our honeymoon. They upgraded our room to one with a private access to the beach and decorated the bed. We stayed for three days and our days were full. Between kayaking to Moyenne Island, walking on the sand in low tide toward Long Island, snorkeling, walking around Round Island and swimming in our private pool, nothing was missing. Food was good and the staff were very generous and kind.

Romance, luxury, seclusion. Incredible scenery.

Liked:A beautiful island, with incredible views everywhere you look. We stayed in a superior bungalow and it was outstanding. A mix of sleek exterior and terrace and traditional, antique interiors. The staff were faultless. From the Sundowners beach bar, the restaurant and main lobby - all exceptional. Communication was via WhatsApp and staff were always fast and helpful in responding. This is a place of quiet luxury and seclusion. Perfect for couples. We loved it and hope to visit again.

Disliked:As others have mentioned, all Seychelles beaches are (rightly) open to the public. So there are regular trips from locals and tourists. This is mainly from around 10.30-3.45. It wasn’t a problem for us, we liked the vibe. But also outside of these times, it felt even more special to have the beaches largely to ourselves (pro tip, sunrise at the sand bar is so good it’s almost otherworldly).

Liked:I booked a villa with a private pool and direct private beach access, which was absolutely stunning. The rooms were prepared daily, and sometimes even twice a day. The swimming pool was very clean and offered a beautiful view of the beach, creating a relaxing feeling of being close to the sea. The villa also had a lovely gazebo, perfect for private lunches and dinners. The resort also provided excellent professional spa services, and activities such as kayaking, which added greatly to the overall experience. I truly appreciate the assistance, professionalism, and cooperation of the resort team. They were always punctual and attended to any request promptly. The room service was excellent. There were many food options and courses available, which we really enjoyed. Overall, it was an unforgettable journey.

Disliked:All of the above points were well addressed by the hotel team and are generally what one would expect from a place of this high standard. However, for such an exceptional property, I would like to highlight a few observations: 1. We booked the villa specifically for peace and quiet, and because it is very close to the beach. At times, there were many visitors on the island who played loud music, which disturbed the villa guests. This concern was well handled by the hotel team; however, unfortunately, it kept recurring due to other visitors. For guests who are not sensitive to noise, this may not be an issue. 2. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so guests should be prepared. 3. As a suggestion, it would be great if there were direct access from the private swimming pool to the outdoor shower, rather than having to walk through the villa to reach it.
