Fantastic family stay

Liked:We had a great day! We had one large room and two smaller rooms for a family of seven. We had everything we needed in. The staff was very accommodating and lovely. We would definitely return. We love the breakfast that was brought to our room every morning and the treats and drinks left on the table when we arrived. We also loved the location. It is very walkable and close to the Trevi fountain and some great restaurants and shopping.

Good but not great value.

Liked:The thing that makes the hotel good is the lady on the front desk and the location but there are some weaknesses. We were in room 31 which unlike other reviews was nice and quiet. but largely because it only had small windows into the internal spaces. It looked nothing like the images on the reviews and a number of the furniture items and kitchen areas were chipped and a little tired looking. The decor is OK but a little ikea. The breakfast is forgettable and we only got an order form for it on 2 days out of 3. They claimed it would change on each day but it doesn't. On day two the coffee machine didn't work so we got warm filter coffee and I had to ask for a spoon on each day in order to be able to each the yoghurt pots. They claimed the mini fridge was complimentary and refilled but we had to go and ask for more bottles of water. The location is great even if the alleyways to the hotel are a little grubby but at 500 quid a night I wouldve expected a LOT more.

Great location

Liked:We took a local cab (€55 cash) from and to the airport. The welcome in the Palazzo and the location had been outstanding. We used it as a starting point to experience the city with its historicale sites and outstanding food. We booked a room and got 301 on the 3rd floor. Despite being next to the elevator it was quite and okay. A little dark inside and no view but for our purpose acceptable. Breakfast was for German standards not sufficient but to start the day with a coffee and a croissant okay. The concierges had been extremely helpful and they gave practical tips. Getting to Ostia with a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the Metro for €1,5 was one of the good suggestions. Personal conclusion: recommendation, great location, spotless room, friendly and extremely helpfull staff, forget the breakfast
