nice luxury resort, popular with families so couples think carefully

Liked:Breakfast was great and quick and easy access to the beach. All of the staff were amazingly accomodating and helpful. The phone with navigation and easy suggestions was great for exploring the island and quick communication with the hotel.

Disliked:The pool off our room was not private and meant that we had to watch out and close our door so children swimming in rooms down the way and an old man doing laps didn't see us. It makes the private loungechairs unuseable with other guests swimming by. The resort was popular for families but that meant it was hard to have a sense of romance or privacy. For the cost and attention to detail with the staff and ethos of the resort, the clientele and behavior was unexpected. For the seclusion of the resort, it felt like there should be better ways to enjoy the property without everyone seeing you at all times.

Liked:Everything. The place is perfect. It's absolutely a dreamy hotel. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The beds was very comfortable and then breakfast was amazing.

Great fun stay in a beautiful Location

Liked:We stayed here for 4 nights after a 3 nights stay at their adult only sister property, the white. We really enjoyed our time here. It was a different vibe than the white, which was a 8-room adult only property. It was fun to come to Santa Barbara after which was a little more lively, and had the beach bar attached which was fun to go for lunch and/or an after dinner drink. Our room was one of the swim up pool rooms, we didn't use the pool as the water was pretty cold, but was nice to sit out there and read/relax. We didn't eat dinner here but the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Fresh juice, breads butter and jam, and able to order eggs etc off the main menu. Our only complaint was the pool temp. The white hotels pool was heated which was really nice as some days were chilly, even in July. The pools at Santa Barbara were too cold To really enjoy. Aside from that we loved our stay and definitely would recommend booking her for either a couples stay or a family vacation, we have two kids 11 & 14 and think it would be a really fun place to come back to with them one day! We also enjoyed splitting the time between the two hotels, and having both a quiet, small adult only experience at the white- and then a more beach-vibe experience at Santa Barbara.
