Perfect stay in Paradise:-)

Liked:Veligandu was simply a great and pefect experience - like paradise! Location: such a beautiful nice island with a perfect beach and snorkeling area, perfect accomodations, the whole island well-maintained. People: great and lovely, from the friendly greenkeepers to the cooks in the restaurants and the waiters, everybody so friendly and supportive, but in particular I want to mention some prople who made our stay a great experience: Our Lifestyle Host Maoly, it started from the warm welcome at the arrival to the farewell at the end, such a great support of her with daily recommendations, all needed informations and help whenever it was needed, at the same time she was discreet but always present and soooooooo friendly and nice:-) Our housekeeper Mahmood, he did such a great job, and several times he surprised us after dinner with some creative decorations in our bungalow, it was also so nice to have some talks with him in the morning and in the evening, a great guy! We liked also the breakfast and dinner in the Dhonveli Restaurant - delicious food, superfriendly cooks and our waiters Asad and Habib provided a great service. Also the other restaurants were good, but mostly we liked the diffent buffets in the Dhonveli. And to end such a beautiful day in the Thundi Bar, with a Cocktail in the hand and the view to the stars was always a perfect end of the day... in anticipation of a new day in paradise together with many colorful fishes and elegant turtles in the clear water around Veligandu. Thank you for this experience - we hope to come back soon and we would be happy to meet all these nice people again!!

Disliked:Unfortunately too short:-) Next time we will stay longer.

A paradise escape

Liked:Gorgeous resort, very green (plenty of exotic vegetation), beautiful beach. Very clean, simple, good rooms (we had a beach villa), exceptional food, amazing staff (special thanks to Sissi, Lakmal and all staff that constantly made efforts to make us feel great during our stay!). We spend NYE there and the dinner was exceptional. Literally people stood up and applaud the chef & all the kitchen team. Overall a very good managed resort. Will definitely repeat.

Disliked:A la carte wine price-list was pretty high (especially in high-end wines selection)... could be updated to encourage more consumption (though didn't kept us dry).

Transfer Details: The property can be reached by a seaplane, which takes 20 minutes from Male’ International Airport. Passengers can conveniently find our airport counter at zone B, counter B9. Shared Seaplane transfers: Round-trip: -Adult (12 years and above) USD 390 per person - Child (2 - 11 years) USD 195 per child. This rate is not included in the booking price and will be charged additionally Children Policy: Veligandu accepts guests of all ages in the Beach Villa and only guests of age 12 years and above in Jacuzzi Beach Villa, Water Villa, Jacuzzi Water Villa & sunset Jacuzzi Water Villa. Children under 2 years will eat for free based on the rules and meal-plan accompanied by an adult. Please note that a Green Tax of USD 6 per child, is applicable additionally. This tax is already calculated and included in the booking price for adults. Full Board: - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Dhonveli buffet restaurant. Drinks are not included in Full Board. However Veligandu Still Water will be served during meals at free of charge. The following complimentary facility will be provided once per stay om arrival for guests booking honeymoon packages: - Complimentary sparkling wine, - Flower decoration and - Fruit platter "Mandatory Gala Dinner Charges: The Xmas Eve Gala Dinners supplement each, US$260.00 per Adult, US$130.00 per Child New Year’s Eve Gala Dinners supplement each, US$310.00 per Adult, US$155.00 per Child This rate is not included in the booking price and will be charged additionally" Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in / making the payment at the hotel.
