Excellent pet-friendly hotel

Liked:Absolutely loved staying here during our trip to Quebec. We selected this hotel after reading multiple excellent reviews, but also because it was pet friendly. They made traveling with our dog so easy and helped us arrange pet-sitting so we could explore the city on our own and have dinner during our trip. The staff were all warm and welcoming and the amenities excellent. Would love to stay again during our next visit to Quebec City. Excellent location in Old Quebec!

A Very Special Place

Liked:The hotel, their staff and service are topnotch. We felt very well taken care of from the valet to the concierge to housekeeping the Artefact bar and the restaurant. We booked a room with a fireplace six months out and upon check in, they upgraded us to Le Chambre de Capitaine, which was a loft suite with fireplace, a sitting area, a full bath and a half bath to boot. The bathroom had a shower and a club foot tub. In the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a lovely pumpkin and gingerbread cake from their bakery. A Bose radio in the room was a nice touch where we dozed off to soothing classical music as we ended our days. That room felt like a warm welcoming hug in the winter with its exposed brick, wood beams, a wonderful view of the Chateau Frontenac, a comfortable King bed and lots of storage places. We never for a second felt closed in during the four days we stayed. Their concierge service went out of their way to help us get a curling experience when all the online curling tours were fully booked while we were in town. That curling experience was certainly another highlight of our stay! Breakfast was great and their hot chocolate was something we looked forward to every day—rich yet not overly sweet. We popped into their gym and spa but did not have time to use them. Maybe next time. Their location is awesome, a three minute walk to Place Royal and Le Petit Champlain. It is so hard to find fault with them even if we tried. The hotel is outstanding and our experience with them is one for the books.

Enjoyable stay

Liked:We loved our stay. It was very hospitable and welcoming. It was well located and the rooms very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel. They have a second entrance if you have a baby stroller or in a wheelchair. You don’t need to go through the main door and stairs each time.
