Cheap and not very cheerful. Pay more and stay elsewhere.

Liked:We have stayed here for the past three years as it is convenient for visiting family. The staff are welcoming and there is lots of free parking.

Disliked:The property is owned by Greene King and it looks like very little if any money has been spent on decoration or maintenance. The accommodation block is next to the pub and while the rooms are large, they are terribly dated. The wifi is not password protected and keeps dropping out. On our last day I discovered the property is on the market for sale which may account for the lack of investment. It is situated on a very busy road where the speed limit is 50mph, which makes pulling out onto the road quite challenging.

Liked:Bed was very comfortable and linen was clean. Towels were clean.

Disliked:Accommodation was in need of freshen up. Furniture was old and stained. No wall socket beside the bed . I'd say carpet needed replacing. It badly needed a fresh paint job. Bathroom needed a face-lift. Grouting was stained in places. There was a smell of wee around the toilet.
