A stunning venue in the middle of nowhere

Liked:Back to basics, steeped in history, an amazing location. Beautiful country side retreat. Great atmosphere, restaurant was basic but perfect serving fresh food and a well stocked bar.

Disliked:Nothing, the hotel was as expected.

If you are looking for a comfortable and stress-free stay, stay away!!

Disliked:One of the worst experiences I have ever had as a tourist. Unfortunately, this was not simply a disappointing stay , the basic standards of hygiene, maintenance and customer service were completely unacceptable. The bathroom was in an appalling condition. The toilet was literally leaking, and the flush did not work properly. I ended up having to use the waste bin to manually clean the toilet. This is absolutely unacceptable in any hotel, regardless of its price. The bathroom had no window or proper ventilation, and the fan did not work either. The situation was unpleasant and unhygienic. The air conditioning appeared to be extremely old and produced such a loud, continuous noise that it was almost impossible to sleep. Turning it off was not really an option either, given the condition of the room. Breakfast was practically non-existent and fell far below what I would reasonably expect from a hotel. The reception service was equally disappointing. It seemed as though the reception operated on a very limited schedule, and there was nobody available when we actually needed assistance. Overall, this hotel seriously fails on the basics: functioning facilities, cleanliness, comfort, maintenance and customer service. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. If you are looking for a comfortable and stress-free stay, stay away. There are far better options.

I hope it will have more air conditioning, and everything will be even better.

Liked:Tourist area located within. The Austrian employee is very cute and caring.

Disliked:The hotel staff didn't tell me the specific time for the reserve, so we arrived late and all the doors outside were locked, so we had to park our car outside the main gate and walk about 2km inside. The hotel also has no air conditioning in the hot weather of Italy. The unpleasant smell rising from behind is caused by horse manure or some other waste not being cleaned up properly.
