Try the Palomar in Phoenix

Liked:Our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Phoenix was exceptional. We wanted a hotel near the Chase Field ballpark, which is a 15-minute walk away, but also found the rooms clean and comfortable, the food excellent and the staff friendly. If your journeys take you to downtown Phoenix, I highly recommend the Palomar.

High standards definitely met

Liked:Beautiful, mid-size hotel in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. Great attention to detail. The rooms are ample and well-maintained. Everything works properly. The staff is super attentive and friendly. There's a great rooftop with a pool and lounge area. Unfortunately, the cocktails there were disappointing (think more spring break and less high-end).
