Not worth it

Liked:Great location and very friendly receptionist dude
Disliked:SUPER NOISY! SO MUCH SOUND EVEN DEEP IN THE NIGHT IN AND OUTSIDE. Also Bathrooms on higher levels did not get cleaned, every other day someone would throw some cleaning stuff in the toilet but they wouldn't actually clean it, same goes for the room I was in, no one cleaned it in over 2 weeks. Someone came in with a vacuum once but it was still dirty afterwards. It's cheap but it's better to pay a little more. trust me

ABSOLUTE SHIT

Liked:I contacted this property re having a valid passport for check in at time of booking and received no reply. I was denied entry when I arrived there late afternoon for not having a passport, despite having multiple valid ID's and being an australian citizen. There is no legal requirements to have a passport as ID this is purely at the discretion of the facility. If I had arrived post closing I would have been given entry without citing any ID. So I was stranded in Perth in winter in late afternoon without accommodation. I have noted other Perth backpackers have a passport policy. I am unsure of the motivation for this but don't understand why an Australian citizen would need a passport for accommodation in their own country. As stated there is no legal foundation for this, so Wallaby backpackers was happy to let me potentially be stranded on the streets of Perth in the middle of winter, despite having taking my money for the booking which was not refunded, despite them saying that they would do so and despite me having multiple forms of valid Australian ID. I think it is fair to say that this facility does not give an utter shit about the welfare of anybody but their bank accounts. Do yourself a favour and travel to Eastern Australia instead where this bullshit isn't an issue
Disliked:Everything

Great location

Liked:Welcoming staff who allowed us to drop off our luggage as we arrived very early on an overnight flight. Breakfast was a good bonus. Great location for city sight seeing.
Disliked:The facilities are getting old and worn out. This was the most affordable place we could find however it was still fairly pricey. Helpful friendly staff made up for that.
