An average place for skiing but excellent service.

Liked:Son and I stayed here for 4 nights and five days. The first person we met was Jordan at the front desk. He was fantastic! While I'm talking about staff, Carla and Pam the concierges were also excellent (but feel they tried to recommend places where they get a return versus what I was looking for). We stayed in room 112B. Clean, acceptable size, 2 queen beds but enough room. Room was cleaned nicely daily but even with the AC/heat off, temperature was always >75 degrees. Small fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, some utensils. No stove. Exit room to left were the pool and hot tub, both acceptable. Exit right and you can access the ski valet area. Here you collect your skis, carry them about 50 yards to chairlift and go up the hill. Ski down the hill. Then you have to remove your skis and walk about 25 yards to the gondola. So, this is a "pseudo ski in ski out place". Hotel has no services and there's 3 or 4 restaurants in the area (avoid Drafts BTW). All are overpriced because little competition. If you're a breakfast person, drive to the grocery store and get your food. Breakfast for 2 in this area is easily over $40. Our room was noisy, we could hear the people / family above us as they walked around their room and now I speak French given we could here the French couple next to us. In summary, average place, nothing really great but nothing really bad. If you want to ski the canyons you can stay here, Westgate or the Hyatt Centric (that we know of). Few options.
