Excellent hotel near Bastille area

Liked:The room was a good size and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning helped during the 'heatwave'. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of hot and cold offerings. The hotel was located within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and metro station. We walked from Gare de Lyon which took about 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our brief stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Disliked:The hotel is located on the east side of Paris, a greater distance from many of the main tourist sights but the metro gets you there easily. The bar area near the reception area was very small- 4 seats, but better than no bar.

Disliked:The carpets smelled a bit strong humidity; and a bit noisy at night from washing machines, we stayed in the 6th floor
