Very disappointing experience

Liked:The lack of communication and willingness to help was the biggest disappointment.

Disliked:Extremely disappointing experience. During our stay over the weekend, Paris was experiencing a heat wave, and on Saturday the hotel lost power. As a result, for 2 out of 3 days there was no hot water, A/C, Wi-Fi or breakfast. The outage only affected a few buildings, and at the time I was 26 weeks pregnant, so being without air conditioning was particularly challenging. I repeatedly contacted reception to request an earlier check-out and move to another hotel. Since only a few buildings were affected, I could have easily found a suitable alternative, even across the street. However, the receptionist was dismissive and kept repeating that the manager was unavailable because it was the weekend, and that they would get back to me on Monday—when it would have been too late given the extreme situation and the fact that we were leaving on Monday anyway. This is not how you expect such circumstances to be handled when paying this much for a hotel. Essentially, if you stay at this hotel over the weekend and something goes wrong, you should not expect any meaningful help because the manager is “enjoying the weekend.” I spent a lot of time and energy trying to reach the hotel in different ways and requesting compensation. The hotel eventually provided a small refund, but only after considerable back-and-forth and persistence. I feel that the situation was handled very unprofessionally, and the compensation was completely disproportionate to what we experienced. Guests in such situations should not have to spend hours arguing their case to receive humane and timely treatment. The lack of communication and willingness to help was the biggest disappointment.

Hotel room was good, and comfortable. Staff need to improve

Liked:The room was nice and clean, comfortable with thick walls. Seating area was nice , and toilets by reception and was nice they had snacks and drinks

Disliked:The staff really let it down, they were always slow , did not greet us, on their phone. Interrupted us whilst speaking to take a call. They need to really be more happy and attentive.

Very comfortable stay, friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great location.

Liked:First of all, the bed was super comfortable for me, which I really appreciated. The room also had AC, and it was working very quietly, so it didn’t disturb me at all. The control is on the wall right after you enter the room — I only discovered it on my last day! 😄 The staff was very friendly and quick. I had no problems at all with either check-in or check-out. The breakfast was really good — everything I tried was delicious. The room itself was very clean and was serviced every day. The bathroom and shower were also clean and everything worked perfectly. There were plenty of lights and power outlets around the room, so you can charge your devices wherever it’s most convenient instead of having everything in one place. You can even control the lights from the bed, which is a nice touch. My flight was delayed, so I used their late checkout service for €10 per hour. This was extremely convenient and, in my opinion, much better than having to spend time somewhere outside or sit at the airport for hours. There were two bottles of water in the fridge, several tea bags, a teapot, and a hair dryer provided in the room. I stayed in room 405, which faces the inner courtyard, and it was pretty quiet. The elevator is definitely old-school and a little slow, but that’s understandable considering the age and structure of the building. It worked properly, though, and had been updated with new buttons and a display. Another big plus is the location. The hotel is very close to a metro station, which is extremely convenient for tourists, especially if you don't have a car. If you do have a car, finding parking can be difficult, but that's more about the street and surrounding area than the hotel itself. There were plenty of shelves and storage spaces, a safe for valuables such as your wallet, cash, and documents, and lots of hangers in the closet. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely consider staying here again.
