Guest Reviews

What Guests Say

9.0

Exceptional

1,464 reviews

Highlights

+Excellent central location (Saint‑Germain / close to major sights)
+Very friendly and helpful staff (24-hour desk, good service recovery)
+Clean, comfortable rooms and beds
+Highly praised breakfast (fresh croissants, pastries)
+Charming Parisian decor and thoughtful toiletries

Could Improve

–Some rooms/facility feel dated and could use updating (corridors, common areas)
–Air conditioning issues in some rooms (too warm / limited low temp)
–No fridge/minibar in some rooms
–Small attic rooms and a small/aged elevator
–Occasional operational issues reported (hot water outage once)

Cleanliness9.1

Multiple reviews praise clean rooms, daily towels and water; a few note common-area finishes (corridors) could use refresh.

Service9.4

Staff repeatedly described as very friendly, helpful and attentive (24-hour desk, handled issues professionally).

Location9.8

Consistently highlighted as excellent/very central (Saint‑Germain, close to Louvre, restaurants, Notre Dame, Seine).

Room Quality8.2

Rooms often called comfortable with good beds but some are small (attic rooms), the hotel feels older and some areas need updating; occasional issues (hot water, bathroom vent).

Amenities8.3

Nice touches noted (Clarins toiletries, daily water) and functioning AC for many guests, but some report high AC temperature, no minibar/fridge in rooms and a small/aged elevator.

Value for Money8.7

Several guests mention good value for Paris; however one review calls it 'wildly overpriced' for an older facility and pricing appears to vary.

Food and Beverage9.2

Breakfast receives frequent praise (excellent, fresh croissants and pastries); food/beverage quality described as very good.

Overall Experience9.3

Overall very positive stay reports — romantic Parisian atmosphere, friendly staff and great location drive strong recommendations despite some minor negatives.

Liked:Great location and comfortable room. Lovely welcome and salon.

Disliked:Older bathroom with bathtub that was a little tired. Major issue was when we asked for a taxi to be called from the front desk to go to airport. It was not legal taxi and the driver called overcharged us from the flat rate that all taxi should use to get to the airport.
