Liked:The location was great. A few of the staff were pleasant

Disliked:The facilities were really dated and run down. It was clear that many of the staff didn't want to be there and could care less about making the guests feel comfortable. There was one guy at the front desk who was very rude when I went to tell him the ice maker didn't work. He made me walk back to our building with him so he could show me it did work. Of course, it didn't. Then I had to walk back to the reception area again to get some ice. There was another server in the restaurant who really couldn't be bothered with us. We had to get up and go find someone to get some coffee. It was brought to us, but nothing else, and the server turned and fled before we could even ask for milk. We then had to wander around until we found some on another table (where thankfully we also found salt and pepper). We, along with a whole bunch of other people, had to wait several hours after check-in time to get into our room because apparantly none of them were ready. This place really needs a redo.

Long vacation on Lake Powell

Liked:Looking outside almost every window, from our room to the breakfast buffet to just walking the back side of the buildings, and seeing the spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Powell. Location. Location. Location. Can't beat it.

Disliked:No screen on our balcony door. There is not a "No elevator" clearly written on amenities list. ADA accessible is listed but no room was available for me on check-in. I went back to see if there was a room listing for ADA or a space to notify staff of my need for a first floor room at booking due to no elevator and do not see it. I have never come across this problem with two story resorts in the past so I didn't know I needed to call the resort. No table on balcony. During our stay the hallway carpets were cleaned. There were no air movers or cross ventilation in the hallway on the second floor to dry the carpets and within 24 hours after cleaned, the hallway was smelling very musty/moldy. The first floor doors were kept open but that didn't do anything for the second floor. Microwave in the room would have been very helpful. We stayed 5 nights and walking down the steps with food and walking from building 1 to the lobby just seemed overwhelming.

We stayed because of the position and not necessarily the hotel.

Liked:Beautiful location looking out on to the lake. We had a ground floor room with a little outdoor area which was lovely.

Disliked:Check in time was from 4pm. We arrived just before 7pm and they did not have a room ready for us. We had to wait an hour before we could get to our room. Had breakfast from the small cafe downstairs and what I ordered was inedible. I had to throw it away. Also the pillows were very hard - need to be a combination of hard and soft to cater to all needs.
